I've been getting a lot of questions to me just asking about my job, what I do, do I like it, what is it like, etc. Well, I am the tour manager of the Achieving a Dream tour. I have worked with many other tours too such as Hilary Duff back in 2004, and a couple of other small tours such as this one-which is actually getting quite big! I am 27 so pretty much fresh out of college-when your a tour manager that's how it works. I really enjoy my job it is a lot of fun to get to work with all these people! In this tour I take care of almost everything, except for writing the script, setting up, hair, wardrobe, and makeup. I have to make sure everyone is where the need to be at the right time, the hotels are booked, everyone knows what they're doing, etc. But this tour is a little different: taking on six showbiz teenagers. And let me empathize the 'showbiz' part of that when I had the job opportunity I figured hey it's kids how hard could that be?-bad. It's not that they are bad kids it's just they are showbiz kids and when you get showbiz kids 99% of them have the same personality-loud, energetic, crazy, outgoing, outspoken, workaholics, fun, but can yet focus. So take on six of them, you having to be the one to control them-quite a job! Example: In Nashville, we were in an underground parking garage and they had a golf cart. Let's just say the bus now have dents in the side, and let me add that it was at 5 am in the morning. That's is another special thing about them the energy NEVER stops, that's exactly why they are where they are: in showbiz. It doesn't matter what time it is all six of these kids are ready to have fun and work no matter what the time of day or how much sleep they got- it just doesn't matter.
So let me bring this to a close; when getting in to show business with your kids be ready for sleepless nights and work loads of work during the day. I can tell you right now as it all looks glam on the stage and in the lights and pictures but in the end I have seen all of these girls cry, and the guys just have no emotion what so ever. All of it was over all the pressure but they all put in 210% every time to be their best. Teach your kids ups and downs-it's not all ups-it rarely ever is up in this kind of work.
Pyro-with help of Makki who I am with right now putting a new dance together and clipping thousands of behind the scenes clips to edit the movie! See, Makki has been working all day and going to be all night!
